A few months ago I posted an initial report when I received my Alpha type 2 mags. My initial impression was not flattering due to the rough cut follower and thin metal finish. They were also tight fitting in the JP MOR chassis that I have, no fault on the mags here. Yesterday was my first outing using them in a rapid section of a highpower type shoot. They did function without fail and their low profile (compared to the JP mags) was a benefit in prone shooting. I was shooting a shorter bullet and have not tested them for the longer aol rounds that I got them for. I suspect there will be no issues with function of any length round that I may use.

For me, I would rather have a more durable blued type metal finish over the one they use. The premise of the longer oal mag is a really great idea for the short actions. I would like to apologize to he maker for my initial poor review. Function is really the primary issue and that was my mistake for jumping off on them early. TM
