Altering a stock?

Have any of you guys ever "modified" your stock? I have a HS precision stock and i would like to cut into the rear of it to make a place for my left hand. I dont have the money for a new stock at the time and I'm just wanting to know if this is possible to do? Thanks

Never done it but I do know they are hollow.

yeah I cut my hs stock to fit a bottom metal it was easy just took like 30mins, but the stock is hollow so you need a way to fill it, maybe with epoxy or something like that

Depending on how deep you cut into the buttstock area you may or may not reach the hollow cavity back there.

Your best bet would be to build up or add the hook you want for your hand onto the bottom of the stock

The hs stock is fiberglass and carbon fiber wrapped around a dense, plastic like foam. The butt has a hollowed out block shaped section running through it. You have about 1.2"of that foam material to work with if you wanted to make a hand hook and then re-glass it.. Lets see if i have a pic
