Gunsmithing alumahyde removal

any thoughts on how to removr allumahyde from a stainless barrel? This is the spray on type. Thanks lee

did you try acetone ? let it sit a little bit

I used acetone and scrubbed with steel wool. worked like a charm

This has worked for me on both alumahyde and gunkote with some elbow grease and several refreshing beverages......
