Rifle Scopes Am I shooting myself in the foot with these rings?

I have a set. They work fine with my USO ST10 scope, but in the past they bind the parallax turret on my IOR and Vortex scopes.

I would avoid them. Avoid any that use the same lower screw to squeeze the scope tube, and clamp onto the base.

Vortex makes a vertically split set that has a separate ring caps rather that split halves. They work fine.

I would not cheap out on your rings & stay away from vertical split rings, Seekins Precision makes really good rings & mounts, you can get a set of 30mm rings for around $130.00, I have several sets & all are great, just put one of their one piece AR mounts on a rifle & it's a really nice mount for an AR.

I also vote for Seekins rings. I only have one set of Vortex rings. Everything else is Seekins.
