I did some browsing on the net and came across this web page. Seems the original pedigree of the Bergara B-14 HMR, and HMR Pro stems from the BCR 29 $5000 and up custom rifle.

They used to build these and I am sure you can still get one, from everything I heard they shoot good. the head gunsmith might have built one before.

I own an HMR that shoots better than good. I am certain that Dan Hanus, BergaraUSA'S Production Manager and former Production Chief and Chief Instructor of the Marine Corps Precision Weapons Section had everything to do with designing this BCR and the HMR if you look at the rifle's stock. The HMR's stock always reminded me of the M40A3's McMillan stock. Looks like they produced this custom rifle and then found ways to make it more affordable and produce it as a factory offering. I hope they'll keep 'em coming. Just thought it was interesting.
