There's nothing in my Amazon shopping/search history, or any internet history that would make either of these two books on the right come up and be "suggested" for me. I'm SURE it's just a coincidence. Riiiiight.

Likely generated from cookies in your internet cache from other sites you've visited. Unless of course you have an Alexa device in your house in which case... the suggestions were a result of the wiretap you've got in the vicinity of your conversations.

I'm not trying to be rude. I read what you wrote about it not being part of Amazon shopping, search or internet history. But I'm politely telling you that you're wrong in your assumptions.
I don't know if you're dismissing my comment because of (1) your opinion of me (2) your confidence in how you 'think' technology works or (3) a combination of both.
Regardless of what the reason is for you thinking the way you think- I gave you the answer to your question (whether you accept it or not). You can believe whatever you want to believe and maybe there's a big government operation monitoring you (outside of your actions on the computer and trying to 'ensnare' you somehow by suggesting you purchase a book that you can already likely borrow from your local library)...
BUT- if you take a breath and start thinking with your brain and want to know the answer- it's the cookies in your browser's cache that's causing those recommendations.

In another book ya talk about social groups and something about staying off the couch. Which is good. But i think you’re on the internet too much. Go camping, disconnect from the internet a bit.
