Has anyone used this powder? I ran a velocity in ladder in my 18" 20 practical. It says its like 2520. I stared below 2520 data at 23.5 with a 40g vmax which produced a velocity of 2950fps. I worked up to 27.5 which made it to 3491. 27g of 2520 is the max charge according to Hodgdon and is supposed to produce 3835 in a 24" barrel. So it should be around 3650-3700 in an 18" barrel. The .5g intervals in the ladder ranged from 45fps to almost 100fps.

Maybe I load 10 at 27.5 and see what happens.

24.8g of WC844 will make 3450 in my 20 practical with a 40 v max. This powder so far seems like it would be better for a little heavier 223 bullets rather lighter ones like it says.

They have 2 different lots of this right now.. MP-495 and MP-501.. the MP-495 says suitable for heavy match 223 bullets and the MP-501 just lists 55gr bullet data. Both say simular to Accurate 2520....

I have a lot of these powders and every one has been excellent but I have not purchased any of the "similar to Accurate powders" MP offerings....

They had N133 which is killer for those lighter 223 pills. I got 32lb if it and it's lights out.

I loaded 10 at 27.7 they shot decent And clocked in at 3530 average. I loaded up 10 28.3 they were 3590 and started to show pressure signs and flat primers. SD was 12 over 10 shots for both charges. These charges were thrown not weighed. It might be a better powder if I could get some heavier 20 caliber bullets. It might be good for the 6mm arc. I loaded the about 70 more with 27.7 to shoot.
