ammo for the new guy

I have been buying the components for a rifle while deployed and have no idea where to start when it comes to ammo. I'm not going to be reloading at least not anytime soon. So what would you suggest trying for off the shelf ammo

My bad. It will be a .308 and mainly used for target shooting

You can't go wrong with the "Gold Standard", FGMM. Price has dropped significantly in the last weeks due to availability.
