I realize that M855 green tip has a steel core, but does it also have a bi-metal jacket?
 
I don't believe so. I have a bunch put back from years ago and I don't remember ever hearing about a bi-metal jacket for this round.

Steel tip, copper jacketed. I don't recall ever hearing about any bi-metal jackets, just copper jackets.
