Re: and 50 BMG brass

I use LC brass for my former Barrett and now Windrunner. You wan to get them to one year, so that the variation is minimal. One key thing about loading the 50 BMG especially when it comes to the brass, is that you must prepare to spend some case preppings and weighing the brass to get the best accuracy you are looking for. Things that I don't do with my 308, 300 wm, and 338 LM like neck turning, weighing brass, primer hole deburring and all that stuff, I now have to do them for the 50 BMG. But it's fun to shoot it.

+1,the Winchester brass is very good. But,at least in my experience,if you buy it primed-don't waste a match bullet. That primer(and primer flashole-needs work)is not as consistent as the CCI 35 Arsenal Primers and it will effect your groups.

After that, deprime and prep the pocket-which is slightly on the small side-diameter wise and you'll be GTG.

After years of reloading the 50, I have aquired alot of brass. The older LC is VERY good. My favorite LC52,LC53.
