Hey guys, I wanted to know if this rifle would be legal in CA. I've heard mixed things about thumbholes on centerfire rifles out here. I hope to hear from you soon.

On other minor caveat that applies also to bolt guns. No .50 BMG in Kalifornia.

Only thing you need to worrie about in california is if its an AR or mags...
Mags- 10+ not legal.
Ar- Well that can go for days but anything bolt acton your fine..
Edit: Unless your shooting a 50 BMG. Not legal.

But youcan shoot 50bmg as long as you are not shooting it from a rifle. So a 1919 belt feed semi auto 50bmg is fine as long as you do not clip together more than 10 rounds. Of course that does not apply if you had the clips before 2000.

Not true. In Cali, if you are featureless meaning no pistol grip, then you can use preban 20 and 30 round mags. stupid law..

Thank you for all the responses. That particular rifle is a .338 and you can change it out to a 7mm mag. You can have a certain number of "evil features" (front grip, pistol grip, flash suppressor, etc). Not sure how many, it's been a while since I was told about it. I'm not too worried about the assault rifle laws, I have an ACR with the barrel swap kit, and it's all I'll ever need. No 50 bmgs and no mags over 10 rounds. There are all kinds of gun laws here that I hate, but there's not much you can do about it. I just wish we didn't have that stupid shotgun length law. I want a Taurus Judge, and here, it's a no go.
