can anyone with a tikka t3x and krg enclosed forened tell me the length of the forend from the end of the action to the end of the forend (or effective minim barrel length)?

I believe that the enclosed forend is 4" longer than a standard forend. You should be able to calculate from that.

I don't have an action on hand yet and was wanting to go ahead and get my barrel chopped before it gets here. I remember seeing a ~13.7" measurement somewhere but cant remember where i found it or if that was from the action or total OAL of just the forend.

I see. Ive switched to a TRG a few years back so I cant measure for you.

Don’t have the Tikka but I have an extra forend here to measure from the end to the mounting screw holes.
