I am new to the forum and it was recommended to me by a friend. I have been shooting from a very young age and I concentrate on my hunting distances. I do hunt antelope when I get drawn so I practice out to 300 yards. Most of the deer shots in East Texas are 100 yards or less in the trees. I served in the Marine Corps as a 2111 small arms repair, and I was the pistol range armor for a few years at Wilcox range at Camp Pendleton. I loved having the opportunity to shoot the 1911 everyday, get paid doing it, and the ammo was free. I served as a special agent after the corps and have retired so I have a little more time to shoot. I still enjoy modifying my AR's and my son just built his first. I look forward to learning.
