Another Original Idea from Hornady

I think there was an old old philosophizer that said "dont hate the player, hate the game"

Either patent something and be willing to pay to protect it...or don't.
A patent is like a restraining order. It's literally useless outside of court.

Cool. But, how is that better than the Lee auto prime?
IMO - No, it does not. The only feature different is the "revolving" primer feed system. The system still holds the cartridge case in a shell holder, which is susceptible to case rim thickness - lack of consistency. I had the Hornady Handheld Priming Tool that would only work with Hornady shell holders. I wonder if this one is the same.

Appears Hornady is on a tare ripping everyone off.

Bullets tools what next?
Now I’m no Hornady defender….but what other bench primer are they ripping off?

And please don’t say CPS. Aside from both being square, having a handle, and mounting to a bench I don’t see it.

Cheers

As does the CPS. What bench primer doesn’t?
The Lee, which seats by feel (which I prefer).

The Lyman, which indexes on the bottom surface of the cartridge case, like the Forster Co-Ax on-press primer seater. If one uniforms the primer pockets then the bottom of the cartridge case becomes an excellent reference. Probably good without uniforming too.

Ya completely no resemblance at all just like their new Aeromatch series bullets. Are they trying to put a couple premium bullet makers out of business?

I think they are head hunting the entire industry. Who is next? Barrel manufacturer, midway .

Hornady primers and powder next?

I wish lee still made the app. Or was it acp? They discontinued one of them and that's the one I wanted. Only learned about them after the fact.
It's the ACP that they discontinued. It's the one I use mostly these days. The only thing I had to do with it is make a little modification so that the primer seating depth is adjustable. It's really great for consistent seating since it doesn't use the case's rim, rims having variable rim thickness, to seat the primer. It produces the most consistency over any . . . ANY other priming tool on the market.

The APP is a very similar design, but needs some modifications to work like the ACP. . . but it's doable.
