Rifle Scopes Another scope recommendation thread...

I know, not another one of these...trying to find some options on scoping an Accurate Ordnance built .223. Its waiting for me at my FFL's. Funds are limited as usual. I am looking at a budget of around $1200 max. Wife is already going to kill me. This is a dual purpose rifle, punching paper and steel out to 500yds max or so and some coyote hunting. I would like to stay in the 2.5-10x range or 3-12x range with an illuminated reticle. Trying to keep weight down on this rifle. Its hard up here in Maine to look at any quality optics. Thanks for your time.

I'd take a look at the Vortex PST 2.5-10x32 FFP. In my eyes, that's a great multipurpose scope for a semi-auto. Unfortunately, I can't afford to purchase one quite yet....
