    The Dirty South
    This is from yesterday.

I had a zen moment. The handguard is NOT freefloated, therefore, loading the CRAP out of the bipod will NOT make life any better. I shot these groups off my pack from prone.

The rifle is the same as before, the only difference is that the glass this time is Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40 with .1 MRAD turrets.

Ammo used: SK Rifle Match. And a dirty bore.

Range: 100 yards. As before, I have little interest to see what this rifle is capable of at anything less than 100.

The hurdles this time?? I get some FUNKY FTFs and it involves me stripping the mag, clearing the FTF'd round, loading an extra round back in, and reinserting mag, racking, and bang. I load one more than what I'm shooting to keep it consistent to what I do on my AR now that it's finished. That one extra round (6 loaded if I'm shooting 5) is for keeping the recoil consistent from one round to the next.

    These are the targets,
This with FTF's and a broken cheekweld and shooting position:

This with NO FTF's and a solid cheekweld and shooting position the whole time:

Ask, and you shall receive. The SSALT Mount is gone, glass resides in Medium SSTAC Rings, which clears anything up to the 42mm objective like on the SS scopes. And places the ocular perfectly in line with the riser on the stock. My only gripe is using the MOE for prone. It sucks.

I considering doing a Zimmerman Arms build. I didn't plan on this rifle tuning into this....thing....either when I first purchased it.

The guys at Tacticool22.net are working on a feedfloat handguard adapter, like what they make for the S&W 15-22. If it interferes with the switch barrel capability of the weapon, I'll likely just stick the 20" barrel on and do a dedicated upper for the AR.

I've always used Remmy flavored Eley Target Rifle ammo up until now. Every time I've shot with that, the results hover around an inch and some change, about 1.5" then grow. Again, the FTFs kill it. I think it might be the feed ramp on the barrel, because EVERY brand of ammo I've used does it, and the mag I use feeds fine on the over barrel and it gets shot alot faster...I keep thinking, "hey, self, maybe the barrel isn't sitting exactly right in the receiver." But then, looking at the other barrel, why doesn't it do the same thing? I keep coming back to the feed ramp.

This is another idea I was entertaining. The Match crap is usually slower. I'm content as is with that one group.

    It gives me hope
