I bought my Razor HD from a guy here used. When I got the scope the elevation turret would barely move. Spent some time on the phone with Scott, he had me disassemble the turret, and it turned out it was the oring on the inside of the inner turret, the previous owner must have had it apart and somehow dried out the oring because it had no lube on it. He sent me a replacement and the scope has been good to go. However I got concerned about the damage the bad oring did to the inside of the cap.

Got worried it would let moisture past it. PM'ed Scott on 3/16 and he had a new turret to me at 8am this morning along with a new oring.

Thanks Scott and Vortex!

Re: Another testament to Vortex CS

It's always nice to talk to customers on the phone when they ask about Vortex's CS and be able to tell them with peace of mind that Vortex will take care of them. Never surprised to see posts like this about Vortex.

Thanks,

Mason @ CST

Re: Another testament to Vortex CS

I like reading these kinds of posts. It helps make my decision easier. I have been waiting for the FFP models to come in but Im thinking I should maybe go sfp for more precision shooting. The size of the recticle still concerns me though. If I could find a place that had the sfp models I would probably just get one and try it. I think there would be someone that would take if off my hands if I dont like it.

somewhat different here on CS. Been using a HD Razor for about a year when this winter the AO started "slipping", also was "losing" clicks in the turret, and there was a red line above the horizontal from illumination spill over. Sent, in , new elevation turret was installed, AO travel adjusted, the new ocular installed. All good stuff, but the return work sheet said the reticle was within specs. How a reticle can be in spec with red illumination spilling over the reticle black bar is beyond me. Holy shades of IOR.

Did you call them back and tell them you were not satisfied with the outcome?

I bought a used PST 4-16x50 FFP here, and when I received it found that it had the older designed turrets. Contacted Vortex and they replaced the turrets with the new design and had it back to me in less than a week. I told them up front that I was not the original owner and it made no difference. Their CS is exceptional.
