I'm a big fan of Leupold optics, have their scopes on all of my Anschutz rifles and a few more. I hope that minimum 50 parallax works for you; I like scopes that go down to 10 yards, but 25 will work too.
?? The parallax is like 5 yard, quite amazing.

I have a 4-24 on my Q and its the same.

I was going off the spec Leupold published for that scope, they say minimum is 50 yards.

Yeah... In practice and published Leupold only goes to 50 yards. Sad really that so many of their optics on the low end are now fixed parallax. Wasn't the case 20-30 years ago

I'd gotten burned on three online purchases of expensive used collectable Browning, Kimber & Cooper rifles early last winter, and had just about decided to say to heck with buying used 22RF rifles online. Was going to call ANA, send them a copy of my ffl, then buy a new 1712 w/Anschutz North American warranty...then this 1712 showed up over on RFC. So far, I'm not the least bit disappointed with it, and it came with the D3 trigger shoe, which I like a lot. I kept looking, and found a nice used Leupold VX-II 6-18x40 for this rifle - have the same scopes on several of my other nice 22RF sporters, and wish Leupold still made this version of the 6-18x40... If you look at the bottom edge of the cheekpiece, just above the rear sling swivel, you can see a tiny little ding in the wood - this is the only mark I could find on this used rifle's stock, and the former owner & his son had hunted squirrels with it. Some folks just know how to take care of nice rifles...
