Anchor, gonna copy/paste an earlier (scout) post to illustrate how I made this work:
Recently ordered an A3 from McMillan with an Anschutz rail under the forend. RRS made an Arca-Swiss adaptor plate that should have worked great, but McM's idea of an Anschutz rail is actually thicker than Anschutz spec. in the 'shoulder' of the rail, so the RRS adaptor will not slide onto the rail.
Figured a way to use the same Arca Swiss plate used above, with an Anschutz rail t-nut from
Phoenix Precision. The 10-32 hex nuts it came with were too short to grab the base thru the plate, so I swapped them for slightly longer ones:

Only thing I had to do was slightly lengthen the slot with a round file, so that all three screws could be used:

Although not as 'quick detach' as the d-ring screws & a coin, these three 10-32 screws seem to hold the plate just as securely to the rifle stock. I did consider opening up the 10-32 holes to 1/4-20 to use the screws that come with the plate, but gonna try this for a while & see how it holds up...
If you have an Anschutz rail that is 'in spec.' and not the thick shouldered rail that McM uses, then
this plate from RRS is the way to go...
P.S.
this has proven to be a solid interface
