I've got the chance to get one for $600. I've read that they have not been made since 2011. Is it worth the gamble?

I looked them up. Seems the owner was doing some shady stuff and got in trouble with the law. As far as there guns look I wouldn't waste my time. Looks like they sold bottom of the barrel rifles with 1/9 twist M4 contour barrels.

I saw that he started raising prices without telling anyone and not doing engraving as promised and not delivering on time. Then there was methadone too.

The guy that owned Anvil Arms screwed a lot of people out of a lot of $. It's a buyer's market, I'd spend my money elsewhere.

I've got an Anvil Arms lower and upper receiver set (bought it in 2007) that was the foundation of my first AR-15 build. It is decent quality; not great, not terrible. I would buy Aero M4E1 now or any of the others out there.

Anvil Arms owner here. It's since gotten the Bruce Jenner cut and a Form1 approval, but otherwise it's factory. It's about like the rest of the lower end rifles.
