Due to Commiefornias requirement for non-lead hunting rounds, I need to come up with a solid coppper load for my 7mm Rem Mag. Anyone here have any decent load recipes? Need to start working up a hunting load for next years deer season.

    Appreciate the help guys.

Just went out today and started a load development for Komifornia regulations. 7mm rem.mag ,Rem 700 in a magpul hunter stock. About the only powder I could find local or online was reloader 25 so that's what I went with. It is going to be a combo hunting /1000 yard steel play gun. With that said I'm going with Barnes 145gr LRX and 150gn. Sierra hpbt matchking. I loaded 1 round each from min to max , 66-73 grains to find the max loads for my rifle with both bullets. With the Sierra matchkings I found a good node at the 71-72-73 range 3100 fps and didn't run into pressure signs. With the Barnes LRX I have a node at 70-71 range with 3200 fps . I did have pressure signs at the max load of 73gn. Now to start dialing in my powder charges! Of interest the Barnes LRX were consistently 100fps or so faster than the Sierra with the same powder charge.

139 GMX, 65gr Reloder 23, Fed215m primers, R-P brass. I never got a chance to chrono, but it did do a 3.5" group at 300 out of my Tikka T3x Lite. Should be moving at about 3000.
I shoot the 150 gmx in my .300 saum, they shoot well and seem to have the same terminal damage as Barnes bullets. I'm trying the barnes long range (LRX) in my 7 mag as they are supposed to provide expansion down to 1600 fps. Your Tikka lite is a sweet rifle. Is it a stainless?

T3x Lite Stainless. Sunk inside a Manners T4 MCS with CDI bottom metal. Very light combo.
