Precision Rifle Gear Any experience with athlon tripods?

Anybody running them? I was gonna get a 2 vets recon but I can get athlon for about half price through expertvoice.

If you're going to buy a Chinese tripod, just as well buy the $99 slik. It's a solid tripod when compared to a $25 one, but it's wobbly when compared to a 2 vets.

I'm curious as well. I am generally a fan of their glass, not that that's any indication of their tripods.

The whole set up showing up in 1 box with all the accessories is pretty cool. Probably works out to a $5-600 tripod, so just like the 2 vets or any of the other 40mm clones. Much better price of entry than the RRS, but it is hard to beat that anvil 30....

Maybe start with the athlon, see how you like tripods and all that stuff, then upgrade when the time comes.
