With Hawks, falconers keep them in an outside enclosure called a “Mews.” The Mews must be built to specific guidelines. This is to keep the bird from becoming injured while unattended. Mine has vertical bars spaced 1” apart. My wife calls it my jail cell! Lol
With falcons, most falconers keep them indoors on a perch.
