any one using R-22 w/ 208 A-MAX ?

I'm going to try a few 208's w/ R-22.
....just wondering, if any one has tryied, or using R-22 w/ the 208 A-MAX.

I worked up a load w/ H1000...but, I have a bunch of R-22.
so, I fig. I would try a load w/ it.

BTW..I running it in a TRG-42 300WM w/ 1:10 Bbl.

I use RL22 with Berger 210s. 73.7 gr in a Win case with 215M primer gives me about 2900 fps and is super accurate. These are seated to 3.450" OAL for my rifle.

Well, all I have some 208 A-Maxs....
Can I load the A-Maxs like the 210's?..If so, what about the OAL?
If not....
I dont have any 210's and and I would like to work a load up for the 208's.

I have very limited experience with the 208s. I bought a box a few years ago and couldn't get them to shoot as good as the Bergers. I wish they would because they're a lot cheaper. I guess my rifle just don't like 'em. I do know that the G7 BC is very close (0.631 vs. 0.633 IIRC). Loads should be similar.

I see lots of people seem to have good luck, with the 210's.

I may try it with the 208's also!
do you think, the powder charge will B ok, with the 208's?

When I went from the 210 VLDs to the 208 AMAX my loads were within a couple tenths of a grain. I used 71.5grns of RL22 in Win cases before switching to H1000. Look up in the reloading Depot at the top of the Reloading section and there is a 300WM/300WSM specific section which has some loads in there.

GRuff try another box of 208s. The new ones with the AMP jackets are night and day from the older version when they first came out.
