Any place in the Houston Texas area that teaches reloading ?

I know nothing about reloading.

I have purchased some bullets and brass.

I need professional advice and training.

Does any shop offer a course ?

You came to the right place, we'll be glad to help you out, its really not that hard. Even I can do it. Just shoot us a question and youll get many answers.

This is my reloading bench, you wont need to buy everything I have, the red Hornady concentricity gauge isnt really neccesary unless you get into precision shooting. Youll need a good press, you dont have to spend the most to get good equipment. Good dies, I mostly use Hornady dies, but have some Redding, Lee and RCBS. A trimmer is a must, shell holders for the appropriate shells, priming tool, Ive got the Hornady model, Ive got a Hornady powder measure, works very well for me. Good set of calipers, reloading trays, cartridge holders once you're done loading the shells.Lube, I use and like Hornadys Unique. RCBS 5-0-5 scale works for me. A chamfer tool & primer pocket cleaner. If you look on Craigslist you might find someone selling their stuff and youll get a good deal on it there.

Yup, and you may or may not need that vibratory cleaner that down below the bench. For target shooting Id say you wont need it, if you use dirty powers it might come in handy.

Its a bit expensive to get started OP, I just got into reloading myself. Fun hobby to say the least. Pick up a manual, start watching videos on youtube, pay attention to detail, don't rush, and listen to what these guys here say. A lot of good and knowledgeable folks on here.

Thanks for the posts. I don't mind spending money. I have some Lapua and RWS brass. Sierra, Berger and Hornady bullets. I have not purchased any fixed items - dies, and press etc...

I don't want to make mistakes when buying the fixed items.

Big Z, I briefly browsed the reloading 101 section.

I'm in houston and will be off work for the next 10 days starting monday, shoot me a PM, i can help you go through the basics and safety procedures of it. I will actually be building a new bench and shelf system for my garage too...my old system has just run out of room

Ralfabco, the NRA offers reloading courses in both shotgun and metallic reloading. I have not taken these particular courses, but I hear they are pretty well taught. Go to this website: NRAInstructors.org - Portal for NRA certified Instructors, NRA Education and Training
There should be a listing of all the classes offered and the dates the instructor is offering them. Also, there are lots of people in the Houston area that reload and would offer to have you come over and just go over any basics. I myself live in Cypress, come on by and watch for awhile if you have any questions

I'm in Houston, and I'm want to start reloading. I have all of the equipment, and I'm in the process of getting some supplies. I've read through some of the manuals and watched the RCBS how to video, but I'd really feel more comfortable if I actually watched somebody do it once or twice in person. Seems like a thing you don't want to screw up.

PM sent

I'd be glad to offer any assistance I can. I use an arbor press for my loads...lived in an apartment for a while and didn't have a place to setup a single stage press, much less a progressive setup.

Classes...I know I've seen them but can say specifically who. You'll have to do some more googling.
