Suppressors Any reason no to go with the Thunderbeast 338BA (vs the 30BA)?

Looking to get my first can and since they take a while to get it's possible things change between the time I order and the time I actually get to use it.

My primary use will be on a 308, but I might put it on my 300WSM as well. The 30BA does both of those from what I can see, but if I go with the 338BA I can use it on those and any 338 I might buy in the future.

Any reason the 338BA might not be the best choice for a 308 if I don't end up getting a 338?

The 338BA suppresses my .260 and .308 better than the 30BA, but it is significantly larger, heavier, and more expensive. If you wanted one suppressor to do high caliber rounds up to .338, the 338BA is great. Even though my 338BA suppresses better on lesser calibers, I run the 30BA on them. Some calibers of mine will now be run with a 30BAS that just arrived.

My 308 is already stupidly heavy so the extra weight of the 338BA isn't likely to get noticed.

Based on feedback here and elsewhere I'm going to order it up and start the year long waiting period. I'll have plenty of time for buyers remorse if I'm somehow wrong. :)

Sorry for the crappy photo. Here is a size comparison of the 338BA, 30BA, and 30BAS.

I bought the 30BA and figure I will use that for a while then add a .338 when I actually need one. I figure there is plenty of time before I add a .338 and don't mind adding to my collection of suppressors. Its always nice to be able to shoot more than one suppressed gun at a time when with family or friends.

I just went through the same thought process. And I'm using it for a dedicated 300WM can. I went for the 30BA, you will notice the difference in weight and size. Those 338 are huge. Hell the 30BA is quite large. I'm glad I went the route I went, you may be very happy with the 338. I may end up with one.
