Any reason to prefer 130's over 140's in a 6.5x47

Just curious if there is a benefit to one or the other. I see alot of both, and I have some 130RDF's that I am going to try, but everyone is telling me to go to ELD's or Bergers and not deal with the RDF's. Opinions?

IHO the 130g bullets were made for the 47...or the 47 was made for the 130s...either way thats all i will shoot outta mine now.
i can easily hit 2950 out of a 24" hawk hill with both 130g berger hybrids and 130g TMKs...both shoot under 1/2" are very easy to load and despite the BC difference the TMKs at the same speed have the same drop out to 850yds..i have not shot any of the 130g ELDs because they are kinda hard to find but would like to try them.

as far as the 130g RDFs i have shot them and like the 140RDFs they are a no go in my rifle. i did shoot some 130g normas yesterday and they show great promise BUT they have a long barring surface and i can only load .005 off the lands or im in the doughnut so i hit pressure early but i have a shortish freebore.

No difference for me in wind between a 142 SMK and 130 ELDM. About .8mil less drop to 1k with the 130s.

My rifle shoots both excellent in the shorter game but i notice the SMKs are more consistent and group better at 700 and further.

I shoot the 142s since there's no advantage in wind...i can dial all day and not notice .8mils

I've shot the 130's out well beyond a mile. As far as what's gained. That depends on what you are doing with them. I prefer the 130's for PRS because I can EASILY spot my own impacts at 250 and further to see what adjustments if any I need to make. For instance. A KYL rack. You need to see exactly where you hit in order to stay centered on the smaller plates. The paint is usually worn off. So you need to be able to see the hit. It just seems easier with the 130. Also.... inside 750. I'll choose a 130 JLK or 130 Berger Hybrid over a 140 hands down.
