Any short (16") Ruger Precisions?

There was a YouTube video of one cut short. Can’t find it on my phone. My Tikka 308 is 16.5” but in a KKC stock. My next 223 (either Howa mini hcr. Ruger RPR, or Tikka) will be cut to 16”

I would like to do the CTR with the Brownells MDT chassis and a folder but don't see anything I like right now. Want something that locks when folded, So the RPR seems to be the best start other than the Q or the CA MPR

Last I checked the lever locks it when folded. The lever on the right side of the picture rotates down after folded to lock it folded. Anyone have one off that can weigh it?

The stock does lock when folded. I owned a generation 1 RPR that I was considering going down the route you describe specifically for deer hunting in the woods. I ended abandoning the idea after seeing the Q The Fix and the Christensen MPR as they both end up being cheaper for a shorty rifle.

My plan was to replace the barrel with a Proof Research prefit .308 caliber 20" barrel (drop about a 1 pound from the stock barrel), replace out the front rail with a short carbon fiber rail like a 7" Lancer LCH (drop about 8 ounces). Which would result in a rifle weight of about 8 pounds without magazine, scope, mount, suppressor or ammo.

How about a 16" Ruger American Ranch in 7.62x39
