I have a few projects with 3D models that I need made into products. Most of the larger CNC shops talk in the 10s of 1,000s. These are niche products. Some projects need a Swiss mill, others can work with 4 axis, but a 5 axis would be better.

Upper receivers DONT have to be made in USA. I have exported many weird things over there. Just take a bit of work and permits, which is not worth the hassle. (Unless its for a MIL/LE contract).

Goodluck and hope you find someone you jive with. Quite a few good machinist on the hide, you will do well.

Pro-tip: get advice from your machinist about the part. More about machining impossible features, or holding limitations. Some things require multiple jigs / setups. Maybe some extra tools or tips may be required for good surface finish.
