Anybody ever done a Sako 75 action for a build?

I recently got to handle a Sako action in a hunting rifle and was very intrigued by it. I know most go with the 700 for obvious parts and price reasons. I want to hear from those that have worked with the 75/85 action.

I had Patriot Arms (APA) buld me a custom .300 Win Mag on a Sako 75 V action. The rifle turned out great, here are some pics:

Whoa, that is a nice stick.

That's pretty much the direction I want to go. How do you like the S&B precision hunter?

Also, what make of stock is that? McMillan?

I love the S&B!! They are all I will use on my rifles.

Here is the build specs of that rifle:

Sako 75 V action trued and squared
Patriot Arms custom recoil lug
Broughton 5C barrel = 5.5 contour, 25" long, 1-10" twist
Vais muzzle brake
McMillan Sako 75 stock = sniper fill, pillar bedded, GAP camo
Sako factory bottom metal
Sako factory trigger tuned to 2#
Near Mfg 20 moa base installed (receiver was drilled/tapped)
Near Mfg 30mm rings
All metal cerakoted matte black

It's a McMillan Sako 75 stock.

I'm in the process of building another Sako 75 rifle. This one will be a "semi-custom". I used a stainless Sako 75 barreled action chambered in 300 RUM.

Here's what I'm doing:

Installed a Accu-Flite slim line muzzle brake contoured to match barrel perfectly

I had Kampfeld Customs spiral flute the bolt

Trigger was tuned to 2#

Got another McMillan Sako 75 stock = sniper fill, painted olive drab

GA Precision is going to pillar bed & skim bed the stock/action(it will be there tomorrow)

Installing a S&B Zenith 3-12x50 on it when done
