I got a 5-day ban a while back for posting in the 2nd Amendment section and didn't think I was being political at all. Not sure if LL pulled the trigger on me or which mod, but I didn't even receive a warning. Hell, I don't even know what triggered it, so I just keep my mouth shut now LOL.

Not lax, considerate. I know I chafe at the no politics policy, but as above, conform with it because it gives the site a unique flavor, and that flavor is tasty. It helped to be able to scratch that itch, even of it was just a "Bitch for a Day" thing.
The bare girlfriends thread is a timebomb, just waiting for an ex to grind an axe. We all get caught up in the net when that bomb pops.
The build thread experiment has potential, in a time when not doing it could have eradicated a streak of most excellent annual inventions. Simply put, if he hadn't, it could have caused a bleak reality, and who else is ready to step up to that plate? Yeah it's pricey and I'm not ready for that kind of expenditure myself; but a few here are, and I applaud their participation.
Finally, I'm sure LL can handle criticism, but I'm not quite certain what purpose bringing it serves.

And I have always allowed a 24 hour post election bitch thread, some just haven't been around long enough to notice.
Lots of requests to re-open the HGF Thread, so I did... see where it goes I can always lock it again.
Besides, while I may get a majority of the flak, it is not me you have to worry about, the other moderators are much worse at handing out punishments than I am... I am usually the one reducing their sentences. Still I get the blame which is fine by me. Slip, and Darth Rob will choke you out.
It's the kinder, gentler, version of me...

Two, I think he managed 4 accounts, the mods stopped a couple before he posted.
I personally like Larry and would have no issue letting Nobody participate on this forum. He just causes too many moderator alerts because people are offended when he calls them a candy ass or swears too often. For me, I have no issue with Larry, if not for others, he would still be posting. It's the lesser of two evils, removing him is easier than dealing with the whining

Hey, I'm not complaining. Nor do you owe anyone an explanation of your decision-making. I just made an observation about a whole bunch of decisions being made at once that just point to a little easing up.

Larry is awesome, except for the part where someone forgot to beat some manners into him as a child. If he could act as a civilized human bring, he'd be a great contributor to the site. The dude certainly knows a shit-ton about shooting, and has a very interesting perspective on the practical use of rifles.
