    I'm working on a build for this years big game extravaganza and I was looking for some folks that may have one, or have information about them.

    The Troy XTR Battle Rail Extreme 15" specifically has caught my interest. Anyone got one?

    I checked the info on the site and it doesn't really give much for extra info about it.

    I guess I'm simply wondering if it's AR15-AR10 compatible, DPMS or Armalite, or what not, but I'd be running it on an Armalite 300 SAUM once I pick up a low pro adjustable gas block.
    I feel that the longer spread from forward bipod to rear monopod would serve me well for some long range shooting.

    The weight would be substantially less than a SASS rail and 3" longer.

    For me, having the bi pods up so far may actually restrict me at certain shooting stations because I would have to possibly be further back. But what ever floats your boat, Troy makes great stuff.

    A rail that long is mostly for aesthetics. I have a 15" midwest quad rail on one 18" rifle and a 12" on another and I prefer the 12" length.

    FWIW that rail system comes in (I think) 7, 9, 10, 12, 13.8, and 15 for AR15 and 12, 13.8 for Armalite/DPMS308. Check Rainierarms they carry a few of them. The reviews I read of the 12" 308 version stated that it was 12oz total which puts it at 5-6oz less than a DDlite and half the weight of a DPMS quad rail. They also come with removable rail pieces for mounting a bipod, foregrip, light...on paper it looks like an awesome rail system for a carbine.

    The XTR Battle Rail Extreme shows weights of...

    11" = 8.92 oz
    13" = 10.53 oz
    15" = No weight listed, but going by the 2" increase trend it should be about 12.14 oz.

    Also, the barrel it would be for is going to be 24" with another 8.5 of suppressor and if it is re-barreled in the future, it will be a 26" 7mm SAUM with a 8.5" suppressor. A 15" tube would help keep the barrel from not looking SO long.

    Re: Anybody running a Troy 15" XTR?

    I just received the 13" version this morning and will be installing it once I get my hands on a receiver. I've installed a couple of these for friends and I really like the design. They're surprisingly lightweight, easy to hold on to without rails all over the place, easy to install, inexpensive and rock solid on the upper.

    Re: Anybody running a Troy 15" XTR?

    Those are AR15.

    7mm SAUM is an AR10, right? You will want the AR10 version then. I'm not sure but I think rainier and jsesurplus both have it in stock...

    As far as bipod mounting goes they come with REMOVABLE rails so you can put your bipod wherever you want...

    Yes, it's currently an ARMALITE 300 SAUM so I do want the AR10 version, the 7mmSAUM that it may become next year will be on the same platform.
    The question was...does the/is there a 15" that is compatible with the AR10 platform?

    I shot TROY an email, waiting on a reply. I'll check Rainier and JSE
    Thanks
