Like Bullgear, I didn’t even know it ran yesterday. Like the Indianapolis 500, and the heavyweight championship fight, the Kentucky Derby was a big deal when I was a kid. Now, they all go by without even noticing.

Yes it was. I can remember coming in from playing outside to watch the race. Then I'd go back outside and continue playing until dark.

I usually try to watch it. I spent a lot of years with horses. Not race types, but all but one had a job. The good ones always give 110%.

I spent that time yesterday with the wife and pup at a local park. It was nice being able to be out, sitting on a bench overlooking the water. Seeing a family fishing trying to catch dinner for the night. Pup is just warming up to spending time in the water. She hates baths but seems to like getting her paws wet in the river.
