I hope the protests continue and only intensify until China removes it influence.

China will stomp their boot on HK's ass...eventually.

I have spent a lot of time in HK and have extended family there(wifes sisters) and many friends... The smart ones are looking at their exit strategy, although the options are small for them due to where there passport is from. One is an ex-pat from UK who moved there in the 90's to escape the tightening noose of the EU progressives... He has more options than the rest who are all Filipino and thus their passport situation sucks...

Best case scenario is the finance and corporate structures flee Hong Kong.

Unfortunately this doesn’t help the people at all.
