Or, has anyone bought their reloading manual and found that they indeed have bullets listed other than their own? My Hornady manual is almost worthless in that respect.... anyone?
I haven't seen a manual put out by a bullet manufacturer that has anything but their bullets listed. Best bet is to go to powder makers websites and look at their data as they usually test several differet makers bullets.

I've got Hornady, Sierra and Speer manuals for a reason. I find myself always going to Hodgdon's loading data website. http://data.hodgdon.com/main_menu.asp

Bullet mfg's seem to only list their own bullets, and have forever. Hogdon's site seems to list shit bullets IMO.
What I've noticed with .224 caliber bullets, the Blitzking, Nosler BT, and Hornady Vmax are about identical in shape, and loads for one seem to work for the others.
Yhe vmax has a thinner jacket though.
