I'm looking for a length measurement of the tube used with one of the short A2 stocks. I know Rock River Arms sells them, not sure if anyone else does. It's this one: LINK

If someone has one and wouldn't mind popping the stock off of the tube I need the measurement from where the front of the tube butts up against the receiver to the end of the tube.

Reason: If I can determine that the tube from the short A2 stocks is the same length as the tube from a Magpul UBR stock, I think I can get a Magpul ASAP to work with the UBR. Because of the design, the threaded end of the tube which comes with the UBR and goes into the receiver is shorter than standard. If you try to put the ASAP between the tube and receiver, the threaded portion isn't long enough to contain the buffer retainer and spring.

TIA

I have an ACE, entry stock. I can't measure it now but I can say it uses a CAR buffer and spring NOT a Rifle buffer and spring. I'm assuming it's the same length as a CAR collapsible tube just with the rifle tube profile.

I'll measure it for you when I get a chance. Might help you.

Its a carbine buffer tube.

Here is the one you are asking about

If you want something to work, look at the A1 stock its 3/4" shorter then the A2.

You know when you install a A2 its got that plastic insert on the buffer tube?

Well take that out and slide on a A1 stock.

As you can see here:

That plastic insert after the upper stock screw is the extra LOP.
