Rifle Scopes Anyone heard of G7 scopes by Nightforce??????

I just received an email and there was a short video clip of the G7 scope by nightforce. Check it out here .

I'm not certain if these are a new model of Nightforce scope or if Nightforce is making scopes for another company.

Guess I should have used the search function first since I just found another thread here regarding these scope..... other thread

It did say Nightforce on the paralax cap though. Maybe a lower cost option for a portion of the market they have been missing.

Nightforce is making them for Huskemaw, it is designed for long range hunting

Not any benefit in price? Wow. Custom turret. Big deal....I'll keep the dope card. Easier and cheaper to modify a card with changing loads.

I believe they make them for gunwerks.My buddy bought a 7mm mag with that scope for about $5500.00 dialed in.

whats the point in buying the G7 brand when you can just get a normal nxs? are they any better? how are they geared more towards a hunter?

and doesnt luepold already have a LRF out where you input your ballistics data and it tells you where to hold on your reticle? actually i know they do, i looked through my buddies last weekend.

I talked with the guys at Nightforce about upgrading my 5.5x22x56 to high speed turrets and asked what was the deal about the G7 and they said The guys at Long range persuit (Gun Werks) wanted them to build a scope for them and I asked what the difference was between the G7 and what I had.

He said the G7 had low profile turrets, a cap over the elevation turret and no illuminated reticle and that was it.

Gunwerks have it priced at 1800 and some change.

The G7 scope is Aaron and Mike Davidson's new version designed and setup similar to the Huskemaw but now on a NF platform. They are not associated with Huskemaw anymore. They have a custom reticle designed to their style of shooting. I actually like it quite a bit. The side turrets are low profile to make scabbard and backpack use easier. I believe the elevation turret is the same height. It is a MOA/MOA turret/reticle setup. It is SFP. If it was FFP I would think about trying one out.
