Yes, I have run their machines but not recently.
Many years ago, some friends owned and ran an indoor range near me. They had several generations of machines including ones that pre-dated the Camdex, all of which were very similar.
Since I was in that world, they would often ask me to help and I made several mods and improvements for them that helped with their reliability. I did the same mods for several other venues I frequented since no good deed goes unpunished.
The winds in SoCal changed, so they sold to their nephew and moved away. He mis-managed the range for a short time and sold it to another owner, and then that range closed. All those machines moved to new owners in Nevada.
By now, I am sure the Camdex machines have evolved and improved. They are oriented towards ranges and serious clubs and not really a hobby machine. It takes running a high volume to make this kind of machinery balance out compared to the other options. YMMV
