I was in Malta circa 1988...
Beautiful place, some of the nicest people in the world....still exchange Christmas cards with a Valletta detective I worked with while there.
Lots of evidence in view of the pounding the island took in WWII while I was there.
Would love to go back again.
Weird fact....the Robin Williams movie "Popeye" was filmed there. The set is in a beautiful location and maintained as a tourist attraction.
