I have a .204 AR with a 24" shilen match barrel and matching bolt. Has a 1:12 twist. Shoots everything up to the 39 sierras scarely good. Shoots the 32 grain Nosler, 35 berger, and 39 sierra BK bullets all equally good. I have several bug hole groups shot with all these bullets. I have stuck with the 39 sierras and can cover 10 shots at 100 yards with a dime. And I shoot coyotes with them and it is a hammer. I havent shot the 34 grain bullets but dont see any reason it wouldnt shoot them extremely well. I love mine and watching the shot impact targets is sweet I think as there is no recoil.

I really wanted a jp but just couldn't justify the cost (yet) so I ordered an upper from Specialized Dynamics. It may not be a JP but got a custom upper coming with a lilja barrel for less than half of a jp so I can put better parts in the bottom. Its not here yet but hope to see it soon. If you have the money I would say JP all the way.

I have a DMPS that came with the 24" 1-12". I just bought a Shlien 24" 1-9" to shoot the 50 grn Bergers. I don't have it mounted yet so I can't tell you how it shoots. I can't wait to test it out when done. The factory barrel shot the James Calhoon's 33 grn DHP's great.
