MDT released their Gen 2 LSS chassis and it's looks like a win for my bolt action short barreled rifle. I'm planning on adding the folding mechanism and their skeleton carbine stock. I put a request in to MDT but thought someone might have one and provide some feedback. Specifically, can you swap the cheek riser so a lefty can use the stock?

I believe you can. I don’t remember from where, but I had that same question answered back before Black Friday. I ended up going with the version without the riser because it’s on an AR lower.

Josh, is the buffer tube in SCS stock a solid billet bar but not hollow tube?

The SCS-Lite and CCS use a solid, machined round bar as we need the cheekriser pins to pass through the buttstock, however, the standard SCS uses a different cheek riser mechanism which allows it to still be used as a buffer tube system and therefore work on your AR-15/10 :)

    Thank you Josh!

Does SCS come with a hollow buffer tube?
Does it weigh 1.96lb with the hollow tube?
If I find the LOP too long with the folding adaptor, and opt to cut the tube short, will the structure integrity remains adequate with an open end?
