Anyone seem this yet?

Re: Anyone seem this yet?

The problem with gun control isn't passing the legislation. The problem will be in getting the guns.

Re: Anyone seem this yet?

They come to take my firearms, they will be met with force. The very intent for the the 2nd amendment is to protect ourselves from our legislation. They are getting way too out of control.

Re: Anyone seem this yet?

I was hoping that was not what it was for.

I will not bury any of my shit. No matter what. My second amendment rights wont fit in a pvc tube. It would be much better to stand up for your rights in a situation like that rather than bury them in the yard. You bury your guns you lose your rights. If everyone did this Im certain it would please the powers that be. I think it would be much better to stand your ground accompanied by a LARGE community of like minded citizens who refuse to give up the rights that so many have fought and died to protect. You can bury yours if you want but doing so would be a disservice to your country, your fellow americans, and your forefathers.

Dont tread on me? Im pretty sure the folks that coined that phrase had far more reason to be fearful of their government yet never buried any of their guns. They used theirs so that you wouldnt have to bury yours. If you truly aim to not be tread upon I would suggest you not bury your only actual means of preventing such a treading.

Re: Anyone seem this yet?

Well the 'report' is soooo lacking in facts only those who wish to believe President Obama is working to use Executive Fiat to limit the 2nd amendment like Reagan, BushI both did would believe Morrisey.

Quoting Sarah Brady is like quoting Dick Cheney on where all the WMD were pre-invasion.

The Huffington Post report cites premeeting unnamed officals saying what MIGHT be discussed.

No smoking gun, no damning memo, just discussions on vague plans to start a study to measure effectiveness...

If they had said the same reducing the debt you would scream its just BS talk and no action.

Bury your rifles, type on the internet just what you would do IF 'they' come for your rifle, (just 'tween us I think its more likely you will stroke out over silly shit before you get the knock- folks in Pima County might be an exception)

But as some are want to quote Revolutionary Tales-

Anyone see any white eyes? Ahhh I may be misquoting that

Re: Anyone seem this yet?

So we should just take comfort in your soothing cynicism?

No thanks.

I'm not advocating burying anything but there's no way in hell I believe heaven and earth isn't being moved, behind the scenes, to confiscate firearms. Not Peter Fonda's or Sean Penn's I'm sure but I'll bet mine, and those of us who 'aintquiteleft' enough...

Regardless of how former presidents invoked by NQR above on this subject matter, somehow managed to leave us armed...Guess it was just another example of their incompetence;

Hearsay notwithstanding, if Sarah Brady says the president reassured her that he is working under the radar, that is confirmation enough for me.

So yes, I believe Ed Morrisey.

Re: Anyone seem this yet?

I can not bring myself to beleive anything good for us can come out of any meeting between Sarah Brady and Obama. Obama has been involved with Chicago gun control and the Brady's home town is Centrailia IL, the state with some of the most restricting gun control in the U.S. because of Chicago.

This.

Re: Anyone seem this yet?

queeg-
That seems a tad selective because most of what Sarah says people like you attack and refuse to believe!

Believing there is some secret under the radar gun grabbing scheme afoot reminds me of the old red baiting days when any hint of some soviet super weapon had the chickens racing around the farmyard!

Using just a little bit of thought before ranting MIGHT show that this close to an election cycle any gun grabbing/restrictions will anger the Independants and sink his re-election bid. Name a President who doesnt put re-election above noble gestures?

Now you want to wail and piss some?

AFTER he is re-elected he will unleash his 'volunteer' civilian corps to 'right the many wrongs', 'secure equality for the downtrodden' by siezing property from businesses to firearms. The Stock market collapses to the chant of burn baby burn. The volunteers roar with approval as the US plunges into a deep depression.

The newly energized Roosian military will sieze this time of chaos to retake the old Warsaw Pact nations while a helpless NATO stands by.

Islamofanatics sieze several oil producing nations in the Middle East causing oil to spike at 400 dollars a barrel. Western Nations collapse allowing Mooslim 5th columns to attack a paralyzed Europe. The Terrorists use this as leverage on the rest of the Middle East to refuse the US basing/refueling rights. Any nation wishing Middle Eastern oil was forced to sign a treaty pledging to not give and aid or comfort to 'The Great Satan'.

Obama pulls our troops out of the Middle East while we still have some fuel to do so but even at that, thousands of troops are stranded fighting a series of Alamo type last stands. Each last stand is splashed across the Arab broadcast and internet outlets. Several European Nations declare their national laws will be recast along Sharia lines.

Angry returning vets combine with Patriotic Citizen Militias (PCMs) to push back against the forces of domestic socialism, plunging the nations into a choatic civil war with no front lines.

China organizes a Coalition of the Willing to demand payment on the defaulted T-Bills. Major Corporations flee the US and headquarter in China/Russia/Dubia.

Obama hands the keys to LA, San fran, Seattle over to the Chinese who rename LA- Maotown. Various east coast cities are dolled out to other nations.

The PCMs launch desperate attacks on the Heartland's ICBM silos in an attempt to threaten the Creditor Coalition with nukes...

Now that ought to get the bowels moving...

Re: Anyone seem this yet?

Well played sir, well played.

A man of your maturity surely doesn't underestimate the arrogance of those whose top spin(electoral success, momentum, etc.)is assured by a compliant media establishment, largely populated by those of similar political bent. Especially those eager to aid the movement when it comes to such insidious, toxic and frightfully dangerous industries such as firearms, ammunition and the malignant entities who lobby to maintain their commerce and ownership among the deluded right wingers who bitterly cling to them.

The difficulty is supplying persuasive proof of such subterfuge as the allegations in advance reek of paranoia while the disclosures, post haste, are scoffed at right up until Havana falls.

While an executive order, prior to the coming election, would likely alienate more independents, as well as more of his own party, an agency such as the EPA, could potentially render us disarmed. Of this type of indirect approach, I have no doubt that a narcissistic, bumbling, self aggrandizing prophet, might be willing to green light.

Seen this?

Re: Anyone seem this yet?

I have sufficient maturity to see some love to slap labels on everyone to fit their world view, such as compliant media. I have no doubt many think their political opponents are like VC sappers willing to dive into the bunkers with belly charges. The truth is less hardcore. There is a difference between crying wolf everytime a sheep bahhhs and having real intel. Just maybe a bit too subtle for some to tell the difference. Is why few get past spammer email or posting bill introductions as 'the smoking gun'.

Those who attempted to spend political capital, or used Presidential Fiat to limit gun ownership and carry have come from ONE party. (hint, the current administration is NOT of that party)

Perhaps our training has been different. Watching those who you think are enemies is wise, however beware allies who can have differing agendas and turn on you if their paymasters demand it.

Fracking-
Been around for years. Though it has alot of science behind it, it isnt precise. Basically you beat apart a semi-stable rock formation and hope to sop up an economical amount of oil. But not escaping oil can be caught up.

In the natural gas fracking done in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas panhandle a new twist has allowed people to heat their water right as it comes out the faucet! Such is the money and political muscle backing 'Drill Baby Drill' that the burden of proof is on the homeowners. They have to document their water wasnt combustable PRIOR to the fracking! If I heard the news report correctly, the entire problem is being carefully studied by various state and federal boards. no quick EPA ban on fracking near private water wells. (so much for the constant outcry against unelected officials)

Fracking could very well prove acceptable in areas where overnight wealth will befall those who live in trailers. In areas where humans are outnumbered by buzzards subsoil contamination by crude oil might be overlooked.

The availabilty of water the process requires might hinder the developement of frack fields in unpopulated areas. People are a good indicator of water, unless the .gov is willing to do a huge canal system it might be problematic.

I would submit however that if they start talking about fracking under YOUR house you will not be happy. Like nuke plants, many want them, just now in their backyard!

Will be interesting to see just how long it takes to gear up to that rather optomistic production level and if unfettered speculation collapses the spot price of oil and thus causes the fracking investors to withdraw credit.

I do think one thing that domestic oil production will not cure is if the oil producing nations turn to other client states for field exploitation, if the Islamofanatics overthrow the current crop of OPEC petty tyrants, if the people in those OPEC countries rise up and demand a share the wealth policy that greatly reduces US oil corporation profits our economy will be greatly endangered, (I'd say will collapse) The oil scheme as it stands now uses the US Dollar as the international currency, allow the other oil user nations big tracks of oilfield lease and the dollar is out the door.

Once our currency is now longer the coin of the realm and its value will plummet and we will just have to hope those nations holding massive amounts of our dollars will help stablize it for us.

Our nation took a HUGE risk to pre-empt a resource war in the Middle East. The intent of siezing Iraq can be debated I suppose however the result has been very counterproductitive to our interest if the 'democracy in the desert' thing unleashes a wave of US out and a nullifying of current oil field leases.

China would love that and holds alot of our paper to use as leverage.

But thats all just idle thoughts as I sit here on this Day of Days.

Re: Anyone seem this yet?

Whether they ban them or not is not the aim of my commentary. Watching these people to make sure we are aware of what is coming down the pipeline is what we are supposed to do. I find it amusing if someone in the NRA doesn't do this. Don't worry others will do it for you while the NRA is making concession's on the 2nd Amendment.

You go on with your bad self. Just remember while you are alone and not organized with others, you are weak and alone. You hand over the junk weapons that everyone has, and then go organize.

Rambo's first name was John, but that doesn't mean you can be like John because you want to be. The vast majority of the people that would be willing to fight have families to look after first. Feel free to go it alone if they do somehow ban ownership. Odds are most of the people will whimper and hand in what they haven't stashed.

Don't give me that forefather speech crap either. My Grandfather was there along with the rest of everyone else's, he still had a cache, not because he was a coward, but because he was Intelligent enough to know that there's a lot of stupid people out there that would sell their neighbor's down the river for some food. Look at all of the crap that happened during the Great Depression, he lived through it to see the country change.

I think I will trust his word over some guy that thinks a pretty slogan and some idealism will save him at the end of the day. Last time I went to combat it was my preparedness and readiness that saved me, not my ideal's. Save your ideal's for when you want to run for office.
