I bought my first Sightron last year after agonizing for months reading reviews of dozens of scopes from Bushnell elite tactical, Leupold mk4, Vortex PST, nightforce, burris etc... The things that sold me on the Sightron were
1. The "exactrac" windage and elevation adjustments (because I dial in windage and elevation instead of holding over)
2. The amazing glass clarity (many have stated it rivals or exceeds clarity of nightforce nxs glass)
3. The overall quality and value
The things is didn't like
1. The 2 moa spacing in the reticle (why didn't they make it 1 moa?)
2. The finish on the outside of the scope just looks cheap to me
3. Lack of custom options ie. reticles turrets (why bother claiming to have a custom shop when all you offer are standard options?)
Ok with that said i see that Sightron has come out with two new scopes of interest
The front focal plane model of the 6-24X50 SIIISS looks promising... Has anyone tried this scope yet to see how it compares to the sfp version?
Also the new S tac model looks like a very good midrange magnification scope. i think it is 2.5-17x56 that is a wide range of adjustment i wonder if it has any drawbacks to having such a wide power ratio? Has anyone got their hands on one? Id like to see how it performs as well
Anyone who has experience with these scopes please chime in and let the rest of us know how they stack up
Thanks
Tim
