Looking at different buffers. H2, H3, Spikes Tactical T2? all look interesting. Had a friend suggest the Rock River 9mm buffer. Seems heaviest. Shooting a 16 inch M4 carbine with carbine length gas system, semi auto WOA bcg and handloads (25.3 H335 55 gr fmjbt LC brass Wolf SR mag primer).

Looking for smoothest cycle and least recoil. Will the heaviest buffer do it?

Good things don't come cheap and...you get what you pay for!!

I run 9mm buffers. However thats just because I use to have 9mm uppers.

The RRA 9mm buffer is fine, I think the Spikes and Slashes buffers are nices, but if you just want more weight, the RRA 9mm buffer will do it.

I personally don't think the buffer reduces recoil any, its just changes the impulse some. To some extent I think I prefer the standard buffers.
