Anyone use a good wireless home camera security setup?

I'm home most of the time but was looking for a security camera system that I could keep on my PC that did the following:

- Wireless
- Video didn't look like shit and you can actually recognize who you're looking at for the most part
- Mainly outdoor cameras as I am home most of the time and dont need to look at myself; this is mainly for me being at home and seeing whats going on outside
- Didn't have to be the latest/greatest but I don't want cheap garbage either

We have one that was installed by our home alarm company. You can add just about as many cameras as you want, we have nine. It is made by Speco Technologies, it was about 5K installed. It also has software for your phone, ipad, etc. that allows you to view it from anywhere you can get a decent signal or wifi. I wouldn't recommend the wireless models, we had one and had constant trouble with it. It's like everything else, you pretty much get what you pay for.

That would be a negative on the 5k.

Not looking for crap but pretty much something where I can have it on a computer next to/near me and can see whats going on outside.

Ring at the door....its the UPS dude, lets go get it. Knock at the door and its some salesguy or someone I don't know....I'm not getting out of my chair.

Don't need it to be able to record for 3 years straight or stream to my car or anything, just something with good video quality that can be installed without any hassle by me and it just simply works.

That's why there is a channel selector on the TV. There are lots of them out there at all different levels of price. Good luck on your search.

my father-in-law bought this one just to play around with and also monitor his pole barn and it turned out to be a pretty good system for the money

We have two Foscam wireless cameras. On in the nursery for a baby monitor and one in the living room. Got an app on the phone and computer to view. They have a speaker and mic so with the app I can talk and listen through it.

"night vision" too Grey scale IR looking view. works well. good pan and tilt control.
