Rifle Scopes anyone use weaver super slam???

I am looking at the getting the weaver super slam 1.5-6 x24. Use will be multi-purpose on a spr type AR-15 set up.

Illuminated german reticle, exposed turrets, 30mm tube.

To be honest, I am kinda hoping scope will serve as a poor man's short dot with a little more magnification. Don't need a true 1x anyway so the extra mag will be a help.

if anyone has any opinions or experience I would really appreciate it

Have not used that particular model, but I have a T-series Weaver and it has been totally reliable with repeatable turrets. Weaver is one of the better values in the lower price segment.
