I've got a new spotter coming which will be used for both range time and hunting. I'm good to go with a tripod but would like to pick up a good window mount for using it from my truck. The Manfrotto 243 base looks like a quality piece but I can't get Manfrotto to confirm whether or not their grip ball head will fit. They offer the 243 base with a mini ball head but I don't think that would not work very well.
Any other quality pieces out there I should look into? Most everything I've seen looks pretty cheap and would not adjust as smoothly as I would like. I may on occasion need to film through the spotter and critters don't stand still very long.
