I have a .338LM built on a standard Remington LA, (yes I regret this but its to late). I have CIP length CDI BM and have trouble loading 300 grain loads
I would think the 285 might be a bit shorter OAL then the 300 and I expect My rifle would like it. its a 1-9.5 Twist Krieger at 30" length.

any help with this or load data for a 285 Hn would help Thanks

I'm thinking that's a fast twist, for any weight bullet. I had a 338 snipetac, I didn't like the Hornady 285, it just didn't fly as well as the 300 Berger, or the Rocky Mtn 275. I'm talking past 1400 yards, under that it worked fine, but my velocity was upwards of 400fps faster than what you'll be getting.
