Does anyone have the APA LB Gen 3 with the adjustable top ports? I like the idea of this brake being able to tune the upwards gas. For anyone that has it how do you like it? Thanks

I bought one during their Labor Day Sale - I REALLY like it. I have some of the other top brand brakes, and like them, too, but I like being able to tune the recoil impulse to mostly straight back. I can watch the bullet impact result on varmint critters. I'm sold on them.

Would you say you like it over your others?

I don't know what caliber you shoot or what type of shooting you do.

but if you PM me I can show you some videos of my 6BR with the lil bastard break shooting positional stuff. the muzzle literally doesn't move.

it'll make you wanna buy one for sure haha

I have a Tikka T3X in 6.5 CM setting it up for a PRS type rifle.

I've got two APA LB Gen 3s. I haven't played around with the ports much. I do quite like the fact that there is a lot less travel when you tighten the brake up vs. the previous versions.

I’m running gen 3 little and fat bastard. They are nice. I do wish they had flats on the brake itself for a wrench or level.

With most of the 6mm comp cartridges, it’s fairly trivial to try to tune it with the ports. Probably best way would be to back off the gun how you might on an unstable prop and try to tune it to counter the semi free recoil.

Like many, I run it with all the screws out. I noticed when I was in positions where I had the best recoil management, it almost seemed to drive the muzzle down and I’d naturally move it back up and it seemed a bit weird. But that was either just in my head or I’ve adapted to it as I don’t notice that anymore.
