Good Evening,

I’m currently building a 16” Remington 700 chambered in 308 and I’m looking at these two chassis to possibly put my barreled action in. My rifle will be built with intention of hunting in the deep woods, and taking classes to learn how to shoot out to 1000+ yards.

I will someday upgrade the barrel, action and bolt later on when money permits but planning on keeping this chassis for a long time.

I like that both companies have modularity, adjustability, full wrap handguard, both are light weight and they both have folding butt stocks. In my research I have found both of these companies to be very reputable companies.

But I would like to hear some feedback from end users and/ or manufacturers. I can’t decide between the two. Also if there is another company that has the same features and is in the same price point I am all ears.

Thanks for any feedback and/ or advice.

I have an ESS, its quality. I did buy their vertical pistol grip, so far I'm not hugely sold on it, it feels very fat. I also have stumpy sausage fingers. I'm really considering switching to mpa's vertical grip it looks like a magpul vertical fore grip which I really like and it looks smaller in diameter

i had 3 saber chassis, sold one to a friend now down to 2.
carbon fiber sako trg 338lm
run of the mill R700SA
R700LA (stiller tac 300) 300 win mag

the chassis are build like tanks, brought one up hunting in canada in -20 to -30F.
bounced in a truck, snow mobile, dumped in snow a few times when it was too deep.
one time the the folder got frozen in the open position, i actually kicked it open.
still held zero when i checked it after lunch.
good adjustments as well
soft butt pad
and the ability to move the grip back and forth is a nice touch, especially when hunting in different temps with and with out gloves
only thing is they are on the heavier side, so if your humping 10 miles up hill you might want a feather weight rifle.

carbon fiber looks cool but not needed.

i havent been shooting my 308 much at all (to much other stuff to play with lol), if you get serious about a APO shoot me a PM i might be willing to part with it.
